The vehicle was sold by HPE Design LLC to the original owner on December 3d 2013 for $105,000. It was subsequently offered at Mecum Auctions in Harrisburg PA on July 23d 2016, going unsold with highest bid $40K less than purchase price after only 31 months.

The AutoCheck report here & below, shows only 2 months later, on Sep 12 2016, it is reported STOLEN to the National Insurance Crime Bureau and reported as TOTAL LOSS on the same day. Sep 26 2016 - 2 weeks to the day - it is reported as Theft Recovery - the insurance company paying the original owner.

The recovery photos below - car on the classic wood blocks, tire, Hennessey $1200 (each) wheels and the carbon (ouch) t-top gone, as well as damge to the front bumper and scrapes on 3 panels on the car - ALL replaced.

The Auction, who describes Primary Damage as "Stripped", indicating an $80,000 (Yes, I know, an auction...) value as what Nevada's title would describe as "Vehicle Brands: 'REBUILT and TOTAL LOSS' ", as well as Hagerty's GUARANTEED value.

No 600+hp Z06 for 2014's new 7th Generation model.
The fact is Hagerty has a limited selection to whom they offer coverage. Just like I did, you can register the vehicle with them for your purchase price.
